About the Author:
Kristel Crews loves a good story and great storytelling, that’s why she spent the first 25-plus years of her career in the entertainment industry working in both film and television before becoming a Mom.
Two months after Kristel’s Mother passed away unexpectedly, the dreams began. They started around Christmas and lasted 5 nights straight. That is when the Huggable Loveable family was born and Sundays With Gran: A Family’s Journey from Loss and Grief toward Healing, began.
Kristel’s journey started in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised, and began working for a feature film production company, which later started a record label. Kristel then moved to New York where she worked with the team that produced Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning feature films at HBO. After leaving HBO, she began working with an Actor/Director for many years. Spending time in San Francisco, CA, Toronto, Canada, and living in Sydney, Australia for a year while filming The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She lived between New York and Los Angeles for many years, before moving back to LA.
When she returned to Los Angeles, Kristel Crews had her two sons, Aidan and Evan, and worked with the team that created the Law & Order Brand as well as the Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med trio before transitioning into a successful Real Estate career.
Her life revolves around Aidan and Evan, their Shorkie, Oliver Champion, her family, and her sister/friends.
About the Book:
Sundays With Gran is the story of the Huggable Loveable family. Each Sunday, the family shares food, fun, and their favorite things, but when Gran dies suddenly before their next visit, Mama is left to explain to her sons, Smitty and Artie what happens next. Journey with the trio as they navigate the process of loss and grief, and choose a special way to celebrate their beloved Gran’s life. Together they help each other move through their fears, their frustrations, and the future without Gran.
